Nathan Wheeler, MPH, PMP, joined Visus in August 2020 following 10+ years leading cross-functional R&D teams at Allergan. Nathan most recently served as Director, R&D Project Management, where he led PM capabilities to develop eye care products in presbyopia, retinal diseases, and ocular allergy. He also facilitated governance and portfolio management responsibilities for all of Allergan’s research through proof-of-concept pipeline assets and led R&D teams through all stages of pharmaceutical development during his tenure.

Nathan previously held a variety of roles at Allergan, including in epidemiology, where he managed postmarketing and postapproval safety studies, and in clinical data management, where he led the development and maintained oversight of IxRS and electronic PRO software applications used in clinical trials. He holds a BS in Kinesiology and an MPH from California State University–Fullerton and is PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certified.
